Animals also deeply feel the departure of their loved ones, this has been conclusively demonstrated by a poor grieving cat who was recorded while dragging the limp body of her best friend. The outcome of this story generates thousands of comments.
On many occasions we have heard the incredible loyalty of dogs, giving ample proof of what they are capable of doing for those they love the most, such as their favorite humans or other furry companions.
But in the case of cats, we are used to stories that show their character, their independence, and if possible, we might doubt that they really show unconditional love like puppies.
However, a recent video of a shocked kitten’s reaction to the death of his best friend, another kitten, has caused a stir on social media.
The scenes were captured in the Songbei district of Harbin, north China’s Heilongjiang province.
It is the heartbreaking moment when a devastated kitten refuses to leave the lifeless body of his best friend, who just passed away.
Judging by the scenes, maybe the kitten thinks that he can still do something to save her life. And desperate, he begins to drag the heavy body of his friend down the road.
The cat did everything to prevent his friend from leaving him alone in this world
Some witnesses mention that they first saw how the kitten exhausted all her efforts to revive her, but seeing that nothing worked, he did something truly extraordinary.
In the video you can see how the persevering and compassionate tabby kitten holds the limp body of the deceased kitten with her mouth.
He wants with all her might to get her off that crowded street and to safety.
At times, exhausted by the effort, he has to make a few stops to regain strength, but he doesn’t give up until his friend is safe.
Nothing about her will stop him from taking her to safety while her heart is broken into a thousand pieces.
The kitten finds a parked white car and sees that this might be a good place to stay there, and maybe hopefully some kind soul will come to his aid.
The footage ends with the kitten making its last ditch effort to drag his friend under the car.
It is not known for sure what the kitten’s cause of death was, but judging from the first scene, it appears that she was hit by another car. And at that moment he begins her titanic work to revive her.
Sadly, all this happens while shocked and “curious” passers-by limit themselves to recording without doing anything for the cat. At least it has not been revealed if someone stopped or if the person recording intervened later. We think not.
“Her friend of his is dead, she is looking at the cat,” a background voice is heard in the video.

Other sources say that there was an animal shelter in the area and hopefully a rescuer has noticed the presence of the cat in mourning, to at least offer it a helping hand.
We really hope that people become aware that just recording is useless. What was it hard for them to put down the phone for a moment and at least caress his little head?
It is a scene that breaks our souls and at the same time leaves us the best of lessons. If, after watching this video, some fool still dares to say that animals don’t have feelings, it means that he hasn’t understood anything.
